For this volcanic and intense environment shows the representation that Felix desires and the contribution of passion to his people. Felix displays the characteristics of hunger, supremacy and pride to his people and also to those that try and cross him. Felix’s environment will be exposed to the difficulties of constant heat and rivers of lava. This would be due to symbolise the intense nature of Felix and the only way he knows how to live under these conditions and not with cold and frozen areas.

The influences for this project where from the largest volcano on Earth is Hawaii's Mauna Loa. Quite interesting with this statistic with the largest possible volcano on the planet mars as it could justify that Felix’s environment could be placed on an area in the universe not just Earth.

The particular part for the volcano that must be placed the greatest piece of attention is that of the volcano itself and how it would be made up plus the materials that are going to be incorporated into it. There are three different kinds of volcanic material: lava, rock fragments, and gas. There are also properties of lava and kinds of lava. Lava is molten which means melted to liquid. The lava comes out of the volcano. In the center of Earth a core is the source of the rock melting. Lands that had lava on it are now fertile. The reason for this is that lava breaks up the ground. Lavas called Perlite can be heated in furnaces. They can be made into light concrete.

Basalt was chosen to be the most suitable material for the volcano as it has the largest occurrences of basalt are in the ocean floor and volcanic areas and also that is almost completely made up by basalt. Over the sea level basalt is common in hotspot islands and around volcanic arcs, especially those on thin crust. However, the largest volumes of basalt on land correspond to continental flood basalts. However in terms of weathering and the degrading of the basalt; basalts weather relatively fast. Chemical weathering of basalt minerals release, cations such as calcium, sodium and magnesium, which give basaltic areas a strong buffer capacity against acidification.

Significant Pieces of Architecture 2 - Frank Lloyd Wright

Frank Lloyd Wright

Date: 1934, 1938, 1948

Frank Lloyd Wright would have to be in my top 5 architects as he continues to push the laws of design, physics and architect and implement his own taste and design factors to the architectural world. Frank Lloyd Wright represents the distinctive aspects of aesthetical characteristics and ergonomic geometry to make those inside his buildings appreciate the design and functionality of it. Fallingwater can emphasis on the way Frank Lloyd Wright emphasised on the modernistic approach and the placement having it within the mountain and into the landscape.

This building can elaborate on the concepts and ideas in relation to my model for Felix as I wanted to capture the areas for Felix to be isolated in a distant environment. For Felix his environment will be within a volcanic area with flames and no one around beside him and his people, which will prevent the predators from coming without seeing them.

Zaha Hadid is one of my favourite architects with her vision and courage to defy the odds and critics saying that females aren't good for architect and her designs are too out there. However I find it to be modern and slick and the future of Architecture.

"Zaha Hadid, founding partner of Zaha Hadid Architects, was awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004 and is internationally known for her built, theoretical and academic work."

Zaha Hadid's style with this design represents the aspects and design factors that deliberate the ideas and concepts of futuristic approach. In relation to DeDuster and his environment the modernistic and use of innovative materials could be used to be incorporated into the design aspect of the kitchen. Zaha Hadid can emphasis the use of abstraction with her design principles and slopes and then use of innovative materials. Hadid can illustrate the use of exceeding the limits of engineering however still having a subtle shape curve.

Buildar has worked through the adversities and then I was able to capture the three images plus an additional use of Photoshop to emphasis a clearer and nicer aesthetical design.

DeDuster's Environment

Creature Description

Environment: Kitchens, Toilets and Vacuums

Food Desire: Dust, garbage and cleaning products

DeDuster is designed in Spore Creature Creator and represents the creature that holds the responsibility of cleaning and taking care of a home or areas in need of cleaning. DeDuster is common in kitchen's, toilets and vacuums and feels that it has the need to make a greater impact to society and to help those in need. DeDuster expects to clean and not to argue with the client unless there are 99% wrong.

Felix's Environment

Creature Description

Environment: Volcano active areas

Food Desire: Meat, fish and predators.

Felix is designed in Spore Creature Creator and represents the 'pharaoh of the bird's army'. Felix is designed to protect his army of birds and to carry out the duties of a king. Felix is not afraid of anything or anyone and will do whatever he can to serve and protect his army. He is pledged an oath to his army and will destroy anyone who tries to harm them.
